Our Third Class pupils from Mr Delap’s class, Mrs Jordan’s class and Mr Allen’s class were very excited when local firefighters came to Scoil Íosagáin. The three firefighters talked to our boys and girls about fire safety, fire alarms, actions to take when they notice a fire and the importance of having an exit plan in the event of a fire. They found it very interesting to learn of some different ways that fires can start - especially from phone chargers!

The pupils’ favourite part of the event was getting to wear the firefighters’ helmets and having a look at some of their equipment.
