Summer Camp 2024
Scoil Íosagáin facilitated two summer camps this year and catered for pupils from senior infants to fifth class. The boys and girls who attended the camp had a wonderful experience. They had outings to Swan’s Park, the playpark, the outdoor gym, Wild Ireland and a trip to Rathmullan on the ferry. Some other activities they took part in included making chocolate Rice Krispie buns and jelly, researching animals and creating fact files using laptops, yoga sessions, playing on the bouncy castle, parachute games, a teddy bears’ picnic and music sessions with Louise. Dining in local restaurants ensured they had plenty energy each day! One of the most popular activities was using Lego where the pupils developed their engineering, teamwork, problem solving, coding and programming skills! On the final day (following lots of rehearsals), pupils attending our senior summer camp read a picture book of their choice to pupils in the junior camp.
The children who participated in our two-week camp really were changemakers - there was lots of creativity, teamwork, leadership and empathy on display!
