Minister for Education Visits Scoil Íosagáin!

It was a pleasure to welcome Norma Foley T.D., Minister for Education, to our school. The Minister was welcomed by Fr. Bradley, Chairperson of the Board of Management, members of staff and members of our School Council. Miss McLaughlin, in her address to the Minister, raised issues of importance to the school, and she asked the Minister to consider these issues and look favourably upon requests to address them. The Minister was delighted with our School Council members and took time to answer all of their questions. After being entertained by the 6th class members of our School Choir the Minister had a chat with some of our pupils. Before leaving, Isabel presented the Minister with a painting by local artist Josephine Kelly. We appreciate the time that the Minister spent with us today. We are immensely proud of our pupils who were a credit to their families and to our school today. Is iad na páistí is fearr in Éirinn gan aon dabht!
